'Youth Build Nepal'-Leadership Training-Kapilvastu Jaycees
Kapilvastu Jaycees had invited us to lead a 2-day Leadership Training, ‘Youth Build Nepal’ at Kapilvastu-August 11-12, 2006 (Sharawan 26-27, 2063). The 45 participants comprised of Jaycees, members of civil society, social workers, and educators. The objective of the training was to inquire within themselves the possibility of becoming conscious public leaders and to drop the idea that ‘Politics is a Dirty game.’ Most of the participants expressed their feelings that two days was not sufficient to delve in a topic like leadership. The leaders of the Jaycees movement here are envisaging a 3-day leadership training programs for the political leaders, activists and cadres in the near future. The facilitator was Mr. Bikal Sherchan and Mrs. Usha Malla Singh had assisted.
