Introduction
Most parents have never seriously considered that they need training for parenthood—even though it's probably the hardest job they will ever have.

Even the handful who might have wanted training in parent effectiveness would not have found it. Now they can.

This workshop is exclusively designed for parents- a step-by-step program that shows parents how they can raise happier, more responsible and more cooperative children.

Our approach is "revolutionary" because it cuts through the age-old controversy about discipline and shows parents the pitfalls of being either strict (authoritarian) or lenient (permissive)—the "no-lose method" for resolving family conflicts.

The Parent Workshop is a system that incorporates fundamental truths known for years about how people can live together harmoniously.

Dr. Thomas Gordon, Ph.D (University of Chicago), is a world class licensed clinical psychologist and a Fellow 'of the American Psychological Association and a Past President of the California State Psychological Association. He was a consultant to the 1970 White House conference on Children and consulting psychologist for NBC's TV Show for children and parents, "Watch Your child."

Dr. Gordon is also the founder and president of Effectiveness Training Associates, a nationwide network of professionals offering training programs for parents, teachers, administrators, and others working with children and youth.

Parent Effectiveness Training has been endorsed by churches, schools, youth organizations, probation departments and many other agencies serving parents and youths. Dr. Gordon's work was cited as a promising new model for prevention of family disintegration in the report of the 1979 White House Conference on Children.
