The Leadership Challenge Leadership ProgramA-3 Day Leadership Workshop
(For Senior Executives, Managers and Board of Directors)
LDP # 1
Introduction
This workshop is about how leaders get extraordinary things done in organizations.
World class management experts say that there are no shortages of challenging
opportunities to radically alter the world in which we live in. The opportunities
for leadership are available to all of us everyday—opportunities such
as to regain market shares lost in competitive battles, to restore and rebuild
deteriorating central cities, to substantially improve the quality of domestically
manufactured products, to offer unmatched service to the customer, or to launch
a revolutionary new product that may start an entire new industry. This is an
advanced level course and is benefiting for corporate managers and executives
in helping them find ways to understand and practice constructive, positive
leadership.
There is an ever growing need for people to seize these opportunities to lead
us, our organizations and the country to greatness. However, there seems to
be a reluctance to answer the cry for leadership? Why?
This reluctance is the result of outdated notions about leadership and not
the lack of courage or competence. Two other factors are equally responsible
and prevent us from being effective leaders—the way we have been taught
about traditional management and every popular notion about leadership seems
to be a myth.
The purpose of this 3-day training is:
• To rid ourselves of these traditions and myths by offering a set of
leadership practices those are based on real-world experiences.
• To have the senior executives, managers and board members realize that
leadership is about leading people and not merely about managing them.
• To help them develop their abilities to get extraordinary things done
in organizations far more than tradition has ever assumed possible.
